The best cordless leaf blower for most yards is a handheld with real airflow, a battery that lasts the job, and a weight you can carry for half an hour. That rules out a lot of the cheap “650 CFM” kits on Amazon, and it rules in a few you might not expect. This guide covers 10 handheld battery blowers: three EGO kits, bare tools for Milwaukee and DeWalt owners, budget kits for small yards, and two compact jet-style blowers for patios, decks and cars.
Every price, rating and spec below was checked against the live Amazon listing on October 19, 2026. Prices move a lot in leaf season, so check the current price before you buy. We earn a commission on qualifying purchases through the links in this article, and two brands in this guide pay a higher rate through Amazon’s creator program. That doesn’t change where they rank.

CFM vs. MPH: What Actually Moves Leaves
CFM (cubic feet per minute) is how much air comes out. MPH is how fast it leaves the tube. CFM moves piles. MPH lifts things that are stuck: wet leaves matted on a lawn, pine needles in gravel, grass clippings stuck to concrete. You want enough of both.
For a rough guide by yard size:
- Patio, deck, driveway, garage: 100 to 400 CFM is plenty. Light weight matters more than power.
- Up to about 1/4 acre with trees: 450 to 650 CFM.
- 1/2 acre or more, or heavy oak and maple drop: 650 CFM and up, or a backpack blower. See our best backpack leaf blowers guide.
Why a $90 “650 CFM” Blower Isn’t an EGO
Several budget kits on Amazon list the same 650 CFM as the EGO LB6504, at less than a third of the price, on a 20V battery. Air is measured in different ways. Some brands measure at the motor, some at the end of the tube, some only in a short turbo burst. The EGO LB6504 itself lists 650 CFM in turbo, but its normal dial runs from 225 to 470 CFM.
So compare blowers within the same brand, and treat a budget blower’s headline number as a claim. Runtime claims work the same way. “Up to 90 minutes” means the lowest speed. On turbo, every blower in this guide runs for minutes, not an hour.
Buy the Battery Platform First
If you already own Milwaukee M18 or DeWalt FLEXVOLT batteries, a bare-tool blower costs less than any kit here. If you’re starting fresh, EGO’s 56V platform runs mowers, trimmers and snow blowers on the same battery, so the pack in your blower kit keeps paying off. Our battery platform comparison covers the tool side, and our 2Ah vs. 5Ah battery guide explains why bigger packs matter so much for blowers.
Full-Power Handheld Blowers
1. EGO POWER+ LB7654 765 CFM – Best Overall
The LB7654 is the strongest EGO handheld that most buyers will need. The listing gives 765 CFM in turbo, with a cruise-control dial from 260 to 580 CFM for normal work. It comes with a 56V 5.0Ah battery and a charger, and EGO says the battery charges in 70 minutes and gives up to 90 minutes of runtime at the lowest speed.
It has 4.4 stars from 3,566 ratings. When we checked it was $299, which was $10 less than the lower-powered LB6504 below. That price gap is why it’s our top pick right now. Amazon’s review summary says buyers find it powerful enough to clear leaves and debris from garages and yards, and like the controls. The cruise-control dial is the practical feature. Set it and walk the yard without holding a trigger.
Pros: 765 CFM turbo; cruise-control dial; 5.0Ah battery and charger included; 70-minute charge.
Cons: Heavy with the 5.0Ah pack; turbo drains the battery fast.
Skip it if: you only clear a patio and a short driveway. The EGO LB6151 or a WORX costs far less.
2. EGO POWER+ LB6504 650 CFM – Runner-Up
The LB6504 is the most-rated EGO handheld on Amazon, with 4.5 stars from 4,834 ratings. The listing gives 650 CFM in turbo and a variable-speed dial from 225 to 470 CFM, with a lock-on button. It comes with a 56V 5.0Ah battery and charger. EGO says the battery charges in 100 minutes and gives up to 90 minutes at the lowest speed.
It was $309 when we checked. Amazon’s review summary says buyers find it powerful enough for wet leaves and good on gravel paths. Battery life, weight and value get mixed reports. At today’s prices, the LB7654 gives you more air for less money. If the LB6504 drops below the LB7654, buy it. The track record is longer.
Pros: Most ratings of any EGO handheld here; handles wet leaves; 5.0Ah battery included.
Cons: Costs more than the stronger LB7654 right now; slower 100-minute charge.
Skip it if: the LB7654 is still cheaper when you buy.
3. EGO POWER+ LB6151 615 CFM – Best Value Full-Power Kit
The LB6151 gives you most of the EGO power for $179 when we checked. The listing gives 615 CFM in turbo and a 200 to 480 CFM dial with a lock-on button. The difference is the battery. It comes with a smaller 2.5Ah pack that charges in 50 minutes. EGO says up to 75 minutes of runtime at the lowest speed.
It has 4.5 stars from 1,475 ratings. Amazon’s review summary says buyers are impressed by the power on leaves and gutters. Battery life gets mixed reports, with some buyers getting 40 to 45 minutes on normal output. The smaller battery also makes the blower lighter to hold. If you already own a bigger EGO pack from a mower, this is the cheapest way into EGO blowing power.
Pros: Near-flagship airflow for $179; lighter 2.5Ah pack; fast 50-minute charge.
Cons: Small battery for big yards; you’ll want a second pack for more than 1/4 acre.
Skip it if: you have a big yard and no spare EGO battery. Get the LB7654.
4. Milwaukee M18 FUEL 450 CFM Blower – Best for Milwaukee M18 Users
If you already run Milwaukee M18 tools, this is the blower to get. The listing gives 450 CFM and 120 MPH from a brushless motor. It’s sold as a bare tool, so the battery and charger aren’t included.
It has 4.7 stars from 3,959 ratings, the highest rating of the full-size blowers in this guide, at $184.97 when we checked. Amazon’s review summary says buyers compare it to gas blowers and praise its weight and balance. The 450 CFM figure is lower than the EGOs, so it’s best for driveways, garages, job sites and small-to-medium yards. A bigger M18 pack runs longer.
Pros: Highest-rated full-size blower here; good balance; runs on M18 batteries.
Cons: Bare tool; 450 CFM is less than the EGO kits.
Skip it if: you don’t own M18 batteries. A complete EGO kit costs about the same once you add a battery.
5. DeWalt DCBL772B 60V FLEXVOLT – Best for DeWalt Users
DeWalt’s strongest handheld runs on 60V FLEXVOLT batteries. The listing gives 600 CFM and 125 MPH in a classic-style handheld body. It’s sold as a bare tool.
It has 4.5 stars from about 1,300 ratings at $199.89 when we checked. The catch is the battery. It needs a FLEXVOLT pack, not a standard 20V MAX battery. If you only own 20V packs, budget for a FLEXVOLT battery or look at the EGO kits instead. Our DeWalt 20V battery compatibility chart explains which packs fit.
Pros: 600 CFM on a pro tool platform; high rating; FLEXVOLT packs also run DeWalt’s bigger saws.
Cons: Bare tool; needs a 60V FLEXVOLT battery, not 20V MAX.
Skip it if: you only own 20V MAX batteries.
Budget and Small-Yard Blowers
6. WORX WG547 20V – Best Budget Kit From a Big Brand
The WG547 is a light 20V blower for daily cleanup. The listing gives up to 360 CFM, two speeds and a weight of 4.4 lbs with the battery. It comes as a kit with a WORX Power Share battery and charger.
It has 4.3 stars from 3,848 ratings at $88.52 when we checked. Amazon’s review summary says it’s good for small jobs and quick driveway cleanups. Battery life is the big complaint, with some buyers saying the battery lasted about 5 minutes on high. Treat it as a tool for porches, driveways and small lawns, not a fall leaf cleanup on a big lot.
Pros: Light at 4.4 lbs; low price for a known brand; battery shares with other WORX 20V tools.
Cons: Short runtime on high; 360 CFM struggles with wet leaves.
Skip it if: you have a lot of trees. Spend more on an EGO.
7. Greenworks 40V 135 CFM Sweeper – Best for Patios and Decks
This isn’t a leaf-pile blower. It’s a sweeper for hard surfaces, and it’s the most-rated blower in this guide, with 4.2 stars from 13,001 ratings. The listing gives 135 CFM and 150 MPH with a concentrator nozzle and a variable-speed dial. It comes with a 40V 2.0Ah battery and charger.
It was $74.99 when we checked. Amazon’s review summary says buyers like it for patios, decks and sidewalks and find it light and easy to use. Power gets mixed reports, which makes sense at 135 CFM. Buy it to clear grass clippings off the driveway after mowing, not to move a lawn full of leaves.
Pros: Light and easy to handle; high MPH for sweeping hard surfaces; 13,000+ ratings.
Cons: 135 CFM is too little for leaf piles; small 2.0Ah battery.
Skip it if: you need to clear a lawn. Get any of the full-power blowers above.
8. LOSART 20V – Budget Two-Battery Kit
The LOSART kit comes with two 20V 5.0Ah batteries and a charger for $89.98 when we checked. The listing claims 650 CFM with three speed levels and a weight of 4.4 lbs. Read the section above on budget CFM claims before you compare that number to an EGO.
It has 4.4 stars from 279 ratings. Amazon’s review summary says buyers find it powerful for the money, like the three speeds, and get plenty of runtime from the two batteries. Two 5.0Ah packs is the real selling point. You can swap batteries and keep going while the first one charges.
Pros: Two 5.0Ah batteries at under $90; three speeds; 4.4 lbs.
Cons: 650 CFM is a maker’s claim; proprietary batteries; far fewer ratings than the big brands.
Skip it if: you want batteries that also run a mower or trimmer. Buy into EGO, WORX or Greenworks instead.
Compact Jet Blowers
These small turbo-fan blowers fit in one hand. They’re popular for drying cars, clearing workbenches, blowing off patios and getting light snow off steps. They won’t clear a lawn full of leaves.
9. WOLFBOX MF500Pro – Best Compact Jet Blower
The MF500Pro is a 3.2-lb jet blower with a brushless motor. The listing claims 168 MPH, stepless speed control and a Turbo MAX mode, and lists an 840W motor. It has a removable, swappable battery and a digital display that shows speed from 0 to 100 percent and a 4-bar battery gauge. It comes with a case.
It has 4.5 stars, but from only 34 ratings, and it was $179.98 when we checked. That’s EGO LB6151 money, so be clear about what you’re buying. It’s a premium tool for car drying, garage floors, workshop dust and patios. The removable battery is the feature that separates it from cheaper mini blowers, since a dead battery doesn’t mean a dead tool.
Pros: 3.2 lbs; removable battery; digital speed and battery display; stepless speed.
Cons: Only 34 ratings; costs as much as a full-size EGO kit; not a leaf-pile blower.
Skip it if: your main job is fall leaves on a lawn. Buy the EGO LB6151 instead.
10. YOOVL Handheld Mini Blower – Cheapest Mini Blower
The YOOVL is the cheapest blower here at $49.98 when we checked. The listing gives a weight of 2.4 lbs and a 6.8 x 3.3 x 10 inch body, with six speeds plus a one-touch turbo mode. It comes with two 4.0Ah batteries and a fast charger.
It has 4.2 stars from 1,666 ratings. Amazon’s review summary says buyers find it powerful for its size, easy to use and worth the money, especially on patios and decks. The listing doesn’t give a CFM figure, which tells you it’s not built to move leaf piles. As a second blower for the garage, the car and the porch, it’s hard to beat on price.
Pros: Lowest price here; 2.4 lbs; two batteries included; six speeds plus turbo.
Cons: No CFM listed; not for lawns or big leaf piles.
Skip it if: it would be your only blower and you have trees. Start with a full-size blower.
Handheld vs. Backpack Blowers
A good handheld covers most suburban yards. Go backpack when you’re clearing more than about half an acre, working for an hour or more at a time, or dealing with heavy wet leaves every week. The weight sits on your back, the batteries are bigger and the airflow is higher. Our backpack leaf blower guide covers 10 options, and if you’d rather vacuum and bag leaves than blow them, see our best leaf collector picks.
Noise and Gas Blower Bans
A growing number of US cities and HOAs restrict or ban gas leaf blowers. Battery blowers are quieter, start instantly and need no fuel or oil. They’re still loud on turbo, so wear hearing protection for long sessions. If you’re still choosing between styles, our how to choose a leaf blower guide covers gas, corded and battery options.

FAQ
Is CFM or MPH more important for a leaf blower?
Both matter. CFM moves volume, so it clears piles faster. MPH lifts stuck debris, like wet leaves and clippings. For leaves on a lawn, look at CFM first.
How many CFM do I need?
About 100 to 400 CFM for patios and driveways, 450 to 650 CFM for a typical yard up to 1/4 acre, and 650 CFM or more for big yards with lots of trees.
How long do battery leaf blowers run?
Runtime claims are at the lowest speed. EGO lists up to 90 minutes with a 5.0Ah battery at the lowest setting. On turbo, expect minutes, not an hour. A second battery is the best upgrade for a big yard.
Can a cordless leaf blower handle wet leaves?
The full-power blowers can, especially the EGO LB7654 and LB6504 on turbo. Small 20V blowers and jet blowers struggle with wet, matted leaves.
Can I use a leaf blower for snow?
Yes, for light, dry snow on steps, cars and walkways. For anything heavier, use a snow shovel or snow blower.
Are battery leaf blowers quieter than gas?
Yes, generally. They have no engine noise at idle and are quieter at the same airflow. They’re still loud on turbo.
